Room booking
Room bookings are made via the calendar page which will allow you to make bookings online by clicking the + symbol next to the date that you require. This will open a new tab in your web browser that will take you to our bookings site. Please check the availability of your preferred room via the calendar before submitting a booking request.

In addition to booking the space you can request the provision of a licensed bar (terms and conditions apply, and a bar can not always be guaranteed).

Please note: Bookings are open from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday, we will reply to you within 3 days.
Hiring and booking information
Room hire is charged on an hourly basis and preferential rates are offered to regular users and to juniors (0-16yrs). Hiring fees are reviewed annually to take account of increasing costs. Please ensure that you read the following documents before submitting a booking request.
Standard Conditions Of Hire Agreement 2025
Licensed Bar Permission Form – to be completed by Hirers in possession of a Personal Licence. Hirers without a valid Personal Licence must apply to the local authority for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) and submit this to the bookings officer.
Under rare conditions the AVC may have to cancel a booking. Some examples are:
- Use as a Polling station.
- Premises unfit e.g. fire/flood/lack of power or heating.
- Use as an emergency shelter (civil emergency).
- If the AVC consider that the hirer will be in breach of legal or other conditions
